Question
What is behaviorism??
Can someone tell me what behaviorism is and NOT THE DEFINITION FROM WIKIPEDIA........i just need a basic description of what it is...also can anyone also tell me about BF Skinner who was the philosopher behinh behaviorism? thx....now can anyone give me a description of what behaviourism is?

Answer
B.F. Skinner was a controversial and interesting psychologist who founded behaviorism and made important contributions to learning theory and principles of behavior modification. Burrhus Frederic Skinner was a well-known and controversial 20th century researcher and teacher who is associated with a school of psychology known as behaviorism. Fred, as his family called him, was born on March 20, 1904 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, a small railroad town just south of the New York state border. His parents were Grace and William Skinner, a couple quite concerned with outward appearances and social respectability. William was an attorney for the Erie Railroad. Grace was actively involved with numerous civic organizations, primarily to promote the family image. According to her son, she derived little pleasure from them. Of the couple's two sons, Fred's younger brother Edward was the more obedient, charming and socially adept. Edward's misdeeds were often overlooked, while Fred's were always punished. Despite this apparent favoritism, Fred enjoyed great freedom to wander about doing whatever he liked. He was resourceful, creating imaginative gizmos as playthings or as solutions to his youthful problems. One such gadget helped him avoid his mother's displeasure, making a sign pop up when he forgot to hang up his pajamas. In later years, Fred would have opposed the use of words like "curiosity", "intelligence", or "creativity", to characterize his childhood ingenuity. Fred believed that his resourcefulness was an acquired behavior "shaped" gradually by the environment around him. Accidental successes and discoveries "reinforced" his continued experimentation. B. F. Skinner died of leukemia on August 18, 1990, at the age of 86. In spite of some flaws in B.F. Skinner's views, the principles of operant conditioning still play an important role in the way we approach learning and behavior modification today. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Now, what does this question have to do with Geography? Question
Do you play World of Warcraft?
What class and profession are you? Why? What trade skills did you choose? Why? Do you have any alts? Why did you make them what they are? What server do you play on? What's your guild? Why did you pick that guild? Good luck and happy playing! :o) Waiting for the expansion in the mail but... Muradin - Level 60 Night Elf Priest : I wanted to heal and my husband played but had never leveled a priest so he couldn't tell me how to play her. Herb/Alchm - makes me good money Doomhammer - Level 30 Warlock : I always felt when grouping that I wish we had a warlock (summoning, ss, healthstone) so I made one! Undead and I play with my mage husband. Tailor/Enchant...cloth wearers are weak and we need all the help we can get. No guild on my main on Muradin...need to get the expansion and to 70 first. Tier 0 only too... Esse Quam Videri on Doomhammer with my lock, I'm the GM.

Answer
My major characters are Alliance on Bloodscalp. 70 Human Warlock - Tailor/Enchanter 66 Mage - Skinner/Miner I love my warlock - when my boyfriend first got me interested in the game, I tried out a few different toons, decided I liked the warlock best, and leveled. Decided I wanted a gnome, and made the mage. As of now, I like the lock better. The mage dies too much trying to solo things that were cake on the lock. The BF suggested tailoring/enchanting, and so I went with that. Knowing what I know now, I'm not so sure I would have been a tailor again. Leveling tailoring is expensive, and the rewards are not as great as the cost and pain in the behind factor....hence the reason my mage is a gatherer. My priest has approx. 125-ish herb/alchemy, and that's another reason I want to level her. I don't have the patience to level cooking or fishing. I do, however, have first aid on all my characters. Have some lowbie alts (30 Warr, 24 shammy, 22 priest, 14 hunter, 12 druid), but I hate the 30-50 grind, and so I'm not sure if I'm leveling another one. If I do, it'll probably be the priest....shadow priests at high levels are fun, it's just GETTING them there. Guild: Champions of Light; see above in re: boyfriend.
